What you will do:
We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Global Product Marketing Manager to lead the go-to-market strategy, positioning, and lifecycle marketing for our Portables, Vehicle Systems, Restaurant Systems, and Portable Extinguisher product lines. This role is pivotal in driving global growth, market share, and customer engagement across diverse verticals and geographies.
How you will do it:
Product Marketing Strategy & Execution
Develop and execute global product marketing strategies aligned with business objectives and regional needs.
Define and refine value propositions, messaging frameworks, and competitive positioning for each product line.
Partner with Product Management to influence roadmap decisions based on market insights and customer feedback.
Go-to-Market (GTM) Leadership
Lead GTM planning and execution for new product launches and enhancements.
Collaborate with regional marketing, sales enablement, and training teams to ensure consistent messaging and impactful campaigns.
Develop sales tools, playbooks, and content to support channel partners and direct sales teams.
Market Intelligence & Customer Insights
Conduct market segmentation, competitive analysis, and voice-of-customer research to inform strategy.
Monitor industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies impacting fire suppression markets.
Performance & Optimization
Define KPIs and track performance of marketing initiatives, adjusting tactics to optimize ROI.
Support demand generation and lead nurturing programs in collaboration with digital and regional marketing teams.
What we look for:
Required
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Engineering, or related field.
7+ years of experience in B2B product marketing, ideally in fire protection, safety systems, or industrial equipment.
Proven success in global or multi-regional marketing roles.
Strong understanding of the fire suppression ecosystem, including regulatory and compliance landscapes.
Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and storytelling abilities.
Cross-functional collaborator with experience influencing without authority.
Comfortable operating in a matrixed, fast-paced global environment.
Preferred
Experience with Salesforce, Pardot, or similar CRM/marketing automation platforms.
Familiarity with indirect sales channels and distributor marketing.
MBA or advanced degree.
This is a hybrid role at one of our Johnson Controls office locations. Requires 3 days in office.
HIRING SALARY RANGE: $97,000 -$130,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, location and alignment with market data.) This role offers a competitive Bonus plan that will take into account individual, group, and corporate performance. This position includes a competitive benefits package.
