Embark on a rewarding contract assignment supporting high school students as a Special Education Teacher in a dynamic, collaborative environment near Chandler, AZ. This full-time, onsite opportunity runs from August 3rd to May 21st and provides the chance to make a lasting impact on students with a range of eligibility needs, particularly those facing emotional disabilities.

Your expertise will guide students in building prosocial and self-regulatory skills while supporting diverse learners, including at-risk, ethnically diverse, and English-language learners. You’ll work alongside dedicated professionals within a supportive network throughout the school year, ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and district special services guidelines.

Qualifications & Required Experience:

• Valid Arizona Secondary Teaching License
• Current K-12 Special Education Certificate
• IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
• Demonstrated success working with students with emotional disabilities or related eligibility areas
• Familiarity with student populations such as at-risk youth, those with limited English proficiency, and exceptional learners
• Experience developing and implementing special education services in accordance with regulatory standards
• Willingness to participate in Essential Elements of Effective Instruction (E.E.E.I.) training if not already completed

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction and behavioral support to students on your caseload
• Develop and deliver individualized education plans (IEPs) and progress monitoring documentation
• Collaborate with general educators, related service providers, and families
• Foster an inclusive, respectful classroom climate that encourages student growth
