Concrete Designs, Inc. – the Southwest’s premiere architectural precast concrete manufacturer – is currently looking for a motivated CAD draftsperson with solid skills and attention to detail to join our team!

Our drafters are responsible for:

· creating 2D AutoCAD drawings of precast pieces as well as layout drawings

· assisting and coordinating in the design and detailing of forming systems

· analysis of architectural and structural drawings to identify concrete profiles

· providing accurate counts of castings needed

· timely delivery of up-to-date drawings

· updates when new information is provided

· occasional worksite visits for measurements in the field

· 3D modeling in STEP file format capable software (we use Rhino 3D in house)

Our requirements for this position are:

· an associate’s degree in CAD/Drafting Technology, or 2-3 years of experience

· the ability to accurately express 2D drawings in 3 dimensions

· the ability to analyze and understand architectural and structural drawings

· identifying and resolving errors in drawings

· advanced PC skills

· excellent time management skills

· excellent written and verbal communication skills

· strong math skills

· familiarity with building or crafting with a variety of materials

Special consideration will be given to those who have previous experience with woodworking and other shop tools.

Pay starts at $21-$24 depending on experience and fit. We offer some scheduling flexibility and possible hybrid work options for the right candidate.
