Travel Registered Nurse Med Surg Job

AZ- RN-MSU - Nights, Med Surg, Fort Defiance, AZ, US. This 13-week travel assignment starts 03/23/2026 and offers 36 guaranteed hours per week on a 3x12-hour night shift in a 20-bed medical–surgical unit serving adult and pediatric patients within a Short Term Acute Care Hospital setting.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for adult and pediatric Med-Surg patients per the plan of care
- Assess patient status, monitor vital signs, and administer medications and treatments
- Implement orders, document care accurately, and communicate changes to the care team
- Respond to patient needs, manage call lights, and promote patient safety and comfort
- Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and other disciplines; participate in rounds and care conferences
- May be required to float to other departments and cover on-call shifts as needed
- Attend unit staff meetings and participate in orientation and quality initiatives as directed

Requirements
- Active RN license (as applicable per assignment) and ability to practice in the appropriate jurisdiction
- Certifications: American Heart Association BLS, ACLS; PALS required
- Experience: minimum 3 years of Med-Surg experience; 1 year pediatric experience; comfortable caring for both adult and pediatric patients
- Setting adaptability: able to work 12-hour night shifts; flexible to weekends and holidays; able to float to other departments if qualified
- Communication: strong collaboration and documentation skills; ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
