Corporate Controller

$200,000 - $225,000 base salary (depending on experience)

Greater Phoenix, AZ (Remote – Open to PST and MST travel required)

Vaco has partnered with a small public company to hire a Controller. This role will lead the company’s accounting operations and financial reporting function within a growing public company environment. You’ll oversee everything from SEC reporting and internal controls to inventory accounting and audit coordination while partnering closely with leadership to support operational and financial scalability. Responsibilities include:

• Oversee accounting operations, including month-end close, AP, payroll, taxes, and internal financial reporting.
• Manage SEC reporting processes, including 10-Qs, 10-Ks, footnotes, MD&A, and compliance with GAAP and SOX requirements.
• Maintain internal controls, accounting policies, and regulatory compliance across all financial activities.
• Coordinate external audits, tax filings, equity accounting, and complex cap table management.
• Lead inventory accounting and partner with operational teams to improve inventory controls and financial accuracy.

Requirements:

• CPA required
• Manufacturing experience required
• Public Company experience required
