Customer Service Representative

work hours: 8 AM - 4 PM
education: No Degree Required Responsibilities Core Responsibilities
- Survivor Support & Intake: Handle high-volume inbound calls from disaster survivors with empathy, active listening, and high emotional composure.
- Application Processing: Accurately enter survivor details, damage reports, and personal information into federal assistance databases across dual-monitor workstations.
- Inquiry Resolution: Answer questions regarding application statuses, eligibility guidelines, and available funding for housing and personal property recovery.
- Resource Referrals: Connect callers with local, state, and non-profit aid organizations (e.g., Red Cross, local shelters, disaster assistance centers).
- Compliance & Security: Maintain strict compliance with Privacy Act regulations, secure data entry standards, and facility security protocols
