This role is responsible for identifying material requirements, tracking Bills of Materials (BOMs), monitoring purchases and shipments, maintaining inventory accuracy, and coordinating with warehouse, procurement, suppliers, and project teams to ensure materials are available when needed for project execution. The Material Planner will help support construction schedules by monitoring delivery status, material shortages, inventory levels, and project-specific requirements.

The ideal candidate has experience in supply chain, inventory control, warehouse coordination, material planning, procurement support, or construction-material operations. This individual must be highly organized, detail-oriented, comfortable working with Excel and material-tracking tools, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced semiconductor, industrial, or construction environment.

Key ResponsibilitiesMaterial Planning & Project Readiness
  • Identify project material specifications, Bills of Materials (BOMs), material requirements, and supporting documentation.
  • Review project material needs against construction schedules, work packages, procurement status, warehouse inventory, and field requirements.
  • Support material planning activities to help ensure required materials are available according to project milestones and installation schedules.
  • Monitor upcoming material demands, shortages, long-lead items, excess inventory, and delivery risks that could affect project execution.
  • Coordinate with project managers, construction teams, warehouse personnel, procurement, and suppliers to confirm material readiness.
  • Help identify material discrepancies, missing items, inaccurate specifications, or documentation gaps before they affect field operations.
  • Support planning for material allocation, staging, storage, and distribution based on project priorities and work-area needs.
Inventory Control & Warehouse Coordination
  • Support warehouse and supply chain teams with inventory planning, material control, receiving coordination, and storage organization.
  • Track inventory levels, material locations, stock quantities, allocations, and material movement using spreadsheets, project trackers, or inventory-management systems.
  • Perform or support cycle counts, inventory reconciliations, material audits, and physical verification activities to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Coordinate with warehouse supervisors to ensure materials are properly labeled, organized, stored, preserved, and available for project use.
  • Support proper material traceability, documentation, and storage practices for semiconductor and high-tech construction materials.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records, material logs, stock reports, and warehouse documentation.
  • Help ensure materials are protected from damage, loss, contamination, misidentification, weather exposure, or improper storage.
Procurement, Purchasing & Shipment Tracking
  • Track domestic and international purchases, supplier commitments, shipment status, delivery schedules, and material availability.
  • Follow up with procurement teams, suppliers, freight providers, and warehouse personnel regarding open purchase orders, lead times, backorders, shipping updates, and delivery issues.
  • Monitor material delivery status and communicate potential delays, shortages, or risks to the appropriate project stakeholders.
  • Review purchase orders, packing slips, BOMs, delivery documentation, and material records for accuracy and completeness.
  • Support resolution of material discrepancies, shipment errors, damaged materials, missing documentation, and supplier-related issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchase status, delivery updates, receiving information, material allocations, and outstanding actions.
  • Assist with coordinating delivery timing and material flow to support project schedules and field-installation needs.
Documentation, Reporting & Communication
  • Maintain accurate material tracking reports, inventory records, shipment logs, project documentation, and material-status updates.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, or project-specific reports related to material availability, shortages, purchases, deliveries, inventory levels, and open issues.
  • Communicate material-status updates clearly to project, procurement, warehouse, construction, and site teams.
  • Track open action items, material-related risks, delivery concerns, and required follow-up activities through resolution.
  • Assist with maintaining organized documentation for BOMs, material specifications, inventory records, purchase orders, shipment records, and project reports.
  • Support improvements to material-planning workflows, inventory reporting, documentation practices, and coordination processes.
  • Maintain a proactive, accountable, and solution-oriented approach while supporting multiple stakeholders and project deadlines.
Required Qualifications
  • Experience in supply chain, material planning, inventory control, warehouse coordination, procurement support, logistics, or a related field.
  • Ability to identify and track material specifications, Bills of Materials, purchase orders, material requirements, and project documentation.
  • Experience supporting domestic and/or international purchasing, shipment tracking, supplier follow-up, or material-availability coordination.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and basic PC applications.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate inventory, material, shipment, and project records.
  • Strong planning, organization, follow-up, and deadline-management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and changing project needs in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with warehouse personnel, procurement teams, suppliers, project managers, construction teams, and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to work onsite in a warehouse, construction, industrial, semiconductor, or project-based environment.
