Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Float between all Telemetry and Medical-Surgical units at Chandler and Mercy Gilbert campuses
• Must be able to titrate cardiac drips including Amio, Cardene, Nitro, Heparin, and Dobutamine
• Required to pass dysrhythmia exam prior to signing contract (maximum 2 attempts within 48 hours of offer)
• Must pass Sim Lab assessment on first day of orientation
• Patient ratios range from 1:3-4 on telemetry units to 1:4 on medical-surgical units
• Notification of campus and unit assignment given 1.5 hours prior to shift start
• May float between campuses mid-shift (9 miles apart, 15-minute drive)
• Must be able to interpret EKGs and work with centralized telemetry monitoring
• Weekend requirement: 4 weekend shifts per 4-week period
• Must work 2 of 3 major holidays
• Navy scrubs required
• 2-day floor-specific orientation for each unit
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Care for patients including post-cardiac procedures, neurosurgical patients, orthopedic cases, and general medical-surgical conditions
• No pediatric patients (15 years and older only)
• Charting system: Cerner
