Job Title: Aerospace Assembler (Weekend Shift)

Job Description

As an Aerospace Assembler, you will play a crucial role in completing the assembly of engine cowlings and sheet metal components. You will be working in a dynamic environment that supports major clients such as Bombardier, Gulfstream, and Cessna. Your expertise in reading blueprints and SOPs will be essential in assembling built components and parts.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints and standard operating procedures to assemble components and parts.
• Utilize power tools, hand tools, drills, and torque wrenches to ensure precise assembly.
• Perform electric bond checks to maintain assembly integrity.
• Understand and apply Honeywell specifications as needed.

Essential Skills

• 2-3 years of assembly experience, preferably in an aerospace environment.
• Proficiency in using power and hand tools.
• Experience with large parts assembly.
• Basic quality verification practices including torque settings and electrical bond checks.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in aerospace, automotive, or related industries is preferred.
• Familiarity with Honeywell specifications is a plus.
• Background in the Air Force, Army, or Marines is beneficial.

Work Environment

Work in an aerospace manufacturing environment located on-site at Honeywell near the Sky Harbor Airport. The facility fosters a team-oriented culture and adheres to Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Six Sigma, and Continuous Improvement principles. The initial training will occur during daytime hours, after which the schedule will shift to Saturday through Monday, 6 am to 6:30 pm. Employees work 36 hours and are compensated for 40.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Phoenix, AZ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.
