Catering Sales Manager
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Business Development:
- Identify and pursue new catering opportunities through networking, cold calling, and referrals.
- Maintain relationships with existing clients and solicit repeat business.
- Develop proposals, quotes, and contracts tailored to client needs.
- Meet or exceed monthly and annual sales targets.
Client Relations:
- Conduct site tours and tastings for prospective clients.
- Advise clients on menu selections, event design, and logistics.
- Ensure smooth communication between clients and the catering operations team.
- Provide exceptional customer service from inquiry to event execution.
Event Coordination:
- Work with chefs, event planners, and banquet managers to ensure client requirements are met.
- Oversee event details such as timelines, staffing, and special requests.
- Attend events (as needed) to ensure execution aligns with expectations.
Administrative & Financial Tasks:
- Prepare and track catering sales reports.
- Manage event budgets, billing, and post-event follow-ups.
- Maintain accurate records in Delphi.
Required Skills & Competencies:
- Strong sales and negotiation skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Knowledge of food & beverage operations and event logistics
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Proficiency in Delphi
Typical Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or Marketing (preferred)
- 2–5 years of experience in catering sales, hotel banquet sales, or event management
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals
