About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant with construction or job costing experience to join our finance team and take ownership of the accounting function across three operating entities. This is a high-impact role reporting directly to the Corp Controller, with oversight of AR/AP and close collaboration with operations to ensure accurate and timely financial information. The right candidate will be self-driven, a team leader, problem solver, hands-on, process-oriented, ability to think out of the box and help scale processes and a new ERP software for future success of a thriving business model that expects rapid expansion over the next 3 years.

What You’ll Do:

• Own and maintain the general ledger, including cash receipts and financial transactions

• Full Financial preparation

• Accrual Accounting, experience with Revenue Recognition (ASC 606)

• Manage full-cycle accounting: revenue, AR, inventory, and month-end close

• Lead customer invoicing and collection efforts, ensuring timely receivables

• Generate AR/AP reports, analyze trends, and reconcile freight billing

• Support inventory accounting: item creation, account mapping, cycle counts

• Analyze and adjust revenue and COGS at period end

• Prepare journal entries, reconcile balance sheet accounts

• Build budget vs. actuals reporting and department cost variance analysis

• Support current ERP (QuickBooks Enterprise Advanced Inventory)

• New ERP Implementation

• Handle sales tax application and filing (a plus)

• Take on ad hoc projects and support leadership with financial insight

What You Need to Succeed:

• 5+ years of accounting experience in an inventory-based environment

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

• QuickBooks Enterprise (QBE) experience required

• Advanced Excel skills

• Strong understanding of GAAP, including revenue recognition, accruals, capitalization, depreciation, and amortization

• Experience in AR, AP, journal entries, financial reporting, and budgeting

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Sales tax filing experience is a plus

Bonus If You Have:

• Experience managing or mentoring AR/AP teams

• Experience with Amtech Software

• Prior ERP implementation or transition experience

• Background in custom product manufacturing or logistics
