Podiatry FNP/PA - Banner University Medical Group Tucson, AZ

Banner – University Medicine Center is seeking a dynamic, team-oriented Physician Assistant or Family Nurse Practitioner to join our growing Podiatry Surgery team. This position plays a vital role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered podiatric foot and ankle care with a strong focus on all aspects of Podiatric Medicine services, Limb Salvage Services and foot & ankle orthopedic services. The role of the Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner in our team would be focused on diabetic foot management, wound care, and high-volume nail care services. We can also provide training and resources for surgical referrals to our surgeons and how to work up patients conservatively prior to referring to the surgeons.

Position Overview

This is a clinically focused role with a significant emphasis on:

• Diabetic foot care and limb preservation
• Wound assessment and management
• High-volume medical nail care and callus treatment
• Palliative foot care
• Pre-operative and post-operative patient management
• Minor vascular concerns related to lower extremity health and vascular work-up
• Orthotic evaluation and management (as appropriate)

The clinic treats a broad patient population, including individuals with diabetes, ulcers and wounds, nail pathology, foot/ankle pain, arthritis, heel pain, plantar fasciitis, sports-related injuries, and patients with active lifestyles.

Minimum Requirements:

• Current FNP or PA Board Certification, DEA license, and BLS certification are required.
• Relevant wound care and diabetic care experience preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Experience and training in diabetic foot care, amputation wound prevention, and proper shoe wear preferred but willing to train the ideal candidate. Medical nail care would be preferred but willing to train
• Limb Salvage Surgery experience is preferred but not required.
