Desired Qualifications & Experience:
- Current Special Education Teacher certification (required)
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field
- Experience teaching or working with middle school students preferred
- Familiarity with IEPs and differentiated instruction
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive classroom environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction to students in a resource room setting
- Modify curriculum and create instructional materials tailored to individual student needs
- Develop and implement IEPs in accordance with federal and state guidelines
- Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and parents
- Monitor and document student progress; adjust strategies as needed
- Support development of social, behavioral, and academic skills
