Primary Responsibilities
- Establish QA Foundation: Build Lumifi's QA Team from the ground up, setting strategic vision, operational framework, and quality processes that will serve as the foundation for future team growth and scaling
- Design & Execute Test Strategy: Create comprehensive test plans and design, build, and maintain automated test suites across the full stack (API, UI, Integration, End-to-End) with deep product knowledge for independent feature validation
- Integrate Quality into Development Lifecycle: Partner with Development, DevOps, and Product teams to establish quality gates, integrate automated tests into pipelines, and ensure testability is factored early into acceptance criteria and requirements
- Build Test Infrastructure: Create and manage test data, mocks, and test environments while ensuring reproducible runs locally and in CI/CD pipelines; integrate tests into monitoring, alerting, and collaboration tooling as required.
- Drive Quality Culture & Standards: Document test conventions and tooling standards, mentor others on testability and automation best practices, and set the tone for quality culture across the organization.
- Maintain & Evolve Testing Systems: Continuously maintain and evolve automated test suites with ongoing platform changes, pruning and improving with each release, while tracking and documenting product defects and verification of fixes.
- Scale QA Operations: Create the roadmap for scaling the QA function, including future hiring needs, team structure, and process optimization to support organizational growth
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or comparable field of study, and/or 5+ years equivalent work experience
- Minimum 5+ years of software quality assurance and automation engineering experience
- Demonstrated experience establishing or significantly contributing to QA programs and processes
- 5+ years of experience writing and executing both manual and automated test cases
- 5+ years of experience establishing and maintaining automated testing frameworks
- Experience leading QA initiatives and mentoring development teams on quality practices
Technical Skills
- Hands-on coding experience in automation frameworks
- Proficiency in programming languages commonly used for test automation
- Experience with API testing tools and methodologies
- Deep understanding of various software testing techniques and methodologies
- Experience leading test efforts across multiple web browsers and operating systems
- Experience writing, executing, and monitoring test suites utilizing various technologies
