Job Summary
Where Great Food Meets Great Purpose
Step into a leadership role where your culinary talent directly shapes the daily experience of the people you serve. As Executive Sous Chef for our busy corporate dining account, you'll partner closely with our culinary leadership to bring bold menus, fresh ideas, and consistent excellence to life — every plate, every shift, every day.
This is more than a kitchen role. It's a chance to lead, mentor, and build a back-of-house team that takes pride in their craft, while helping shape a food program that keeps guests coming back for more.
What You'll Do
- Roll up your sleeves alongside your team, coordinating and participating in the preparation and cooking of a diverse range of menu items
- Collaborate on menu planning and creation, bringing fresh perspective and culinary trends to the table
- Partner with marketing and culinary leadership to roll out exciting new culinary programs
- Help manage cost controls and keep a sharp eye on expenditures without ever compromising on quality
- Motivate, train, and develop back-of-house associates, building a culture of accountability, growth, and pride in the work
- Ensure every dish reflects our standards for quality, freshness, and presentation — and every process reflects the client's culture and Health Department regulations
What You Bring
- 5+ years of progressive culinary experience, including at least 1 year in a supervisory or lead role
- Background in restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, education, military, healthcare, or related foodservice operations
- A finger on the pulse of food and industry trends, with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, safety, food cost controls, and presentation
- Proven ability to lead high-volume culinary operations with confidence and consistency
- Strong people leadership — you know how to coach, develop, and bring out the best in your team
- Experience with labor scheduling, food cost management, inventory control, and purchasing
- Comfort setting up and distributing production sheets to keep the kitchen running smoothly
- ServSafe or Department of Health Certification preferred
- Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel
- Associate's degree in Culinary Arts preferred
Why You'll Love It Here
We believe great hospitality starts in the kitchen and extends to every person we serve. If you're ready to lead with passion, grow your career, and be part of a team that values craft, culture, and connection — we'd love to meet you.
