Electrical Engineer 1, 2, Senior

- Provide electrical engineering support for medium- and low‑voltage power distribution systems, switchgear, protective relays, MCCs, transformers, and generators.
- Troubleshoot electrical equipment issues and support Operations & Maintenance (O&M) during equipment failures, alarms, outages, and abnormal conditions.
- Develop electrical maintenance strategies, perform equipment condition assessments, and support preventative/predictive maintenance.
- Prepare technical specifications for equipment, services, and contractor work; support procurement and bid evaluations.
- Lead or support plant outage planning, scope development, and execution for electrical systems.
- Manage small to medium capital and O&M projects, including design review, field oversight, and commissioning.
- Provide engineering input for modifications and upgrades, ensuring compliance with NERC, SRP standards, NFPA 70/70E, IEEE, and applicable codes.
- Review drawings, schematics, relay settings, and control logic; update documentation as needed.
- Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and internal SRP organizations.
- Maintain electrical system models, protective relay settings, and arc‑flash documentation as required.
- Support root cause analysis, incident investigations, and reliability improvements.
- Maintain safe work practices and support electrical safety programs (LOTO, arc‑flash, PPE, etc.).
- Other duties as assigned.
- Responsibly manage project budgets and schedules.
- Provide information, answers, and responsible solutions to support the reliable operation of the generating station.
- Represent SRP when contacting customers and outside agencies.
- Write specifications for contract with suppliers of equipment and services.
- Occasionally travel to suppliers facilities, industry organizational functions and SRP facilities.
- Work effectively with various organizational groups within SRP.
- Ability to use engineering tools required for the job (i.e., computer, test equipment, etc.).
