American Power Systems seeks a dynamic Inside Sales Representative to join our team. The Inside Sales Representative will play a pivotal role in driving sales growth by maintaining existing customer relationships, generating new business opportunities, and supporting our outside sales team. This role will involve promoting and selling a range of products and services from our portfolio, including batteries, DC power, chargers, and more.

Responsibilities Include:

• Promote and sell company products and services, prepare quotes, and present them to customers.
• Reviewing customer specifications and requirements to create tailored solutions.
• Establishing and maintaining accounts, including answering inquiries and entering information.
• Building productive relationships with key personnel at prospective and existing customers.
• Conducting market research to identify new potential customers and market opportunities.
• Collaborating with various departments to ensure customer expectations are met consistently.
• Maintaining open and positive communication with employees, departments, customers, and vendors.

Minimum Requirements:

• 2 to 4 years of experience
• Familiarity with electrical concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Understanding of lead-acid batteries and reserve power industry knowledge.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical documents and drawings.
• Excellent communication skills and proficiency in English.
• Strong PC skills, including Office applications.
• Acceptable driving record under company and customer requirements.

Essential Qualities:

• Ability to work well both independently and in a team environment.
• Willingness to travel occasionally between offices, service locations, and customer sites.

Pre-Employment Requirements

All offers of employment are contingent upon successful completion of the following pre-employment screenings:

• Blood draw
• Non-DOT physical
• 9-panel drug screen (THC is not included)

These screenings are conducted once, prior to hire, and are not part of a recurring or annual testing program. However, employees remain subject to Reasonable Suspicion and Post-Accident drug and alcohol testing in accordance with company policy.
