Data Engineer
Job Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and deploy big data pipelines (structured/unstructured, batch/real-time).
- Collaborate with data scientists and SMEs on predictive analytics, generative AI, and computer vision use cases.
- Optimize data ingestion/processing using Databricks, Spark, Azure Data Factory, or Palantir Foundry.
- Implement data governance, access control, and workflow orchestration.
- Mentor junior engineers and support cross-functional teams.
Skills:
- 5+ years’ experience with cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/Snowflake) and big data tools (Spark, Hadoop).
- Proficiency in Python, PySpark, SQL, and distributed computing.
- Hands-on experience with Delta Lake, ADLS, and workflow monitoring.
- Schema evolution, Delta Lake optimization, Foundry Ontology.
- ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch) and MLOps (MLflow, AzureML).
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
