Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification
- Previous experience in a school setting preferred
- Proficient in developing and implementing IEPs
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to adapt lessons for diverse learning abilities
- Knowledge of instructional technology and best practices for special education
Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver engaging lesson plans tailored to individual student goals
- Create a positive classroom environment that encourages participation and inclusion
- Assess student progress regularly and adjust strategies as needed
- Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families
- Maintain accurate records and uphold confidentiality of student information
- Participate in IEP meetings, progress monitoring, and professional development
