Job OverviewMarketech International Corporation USA is seeking an experienced and field-focused Superintendent – UPW & Construction Projects to support field construction coordination, contractor management, site logistics, construction sequencing, and project execution for UPW and related construction projects.
This role is responsible for coordinating daily field activities among contractors, engineering teams, general contractors, subcontractors, and multiple trade partners to ensure work is completed safely, accurately, efficiently, and in alignment with project schedules, specifications, quality expectations, and client requirements. The Superintendent will play a key role in managing construction progress, resolving field issues, coordinating material and logistics needs, and supporting overall project delivery.
The ideal candidate has prior construction-management, field-supervision, foreman, or superintendent experience and is comfortable leading multi-trade construction coordination in active industrial environments. Experience supporting semiconductor, water treatment, UPW, piping, equipment move-in, steel installation, cleanroom, MEP, or high-tech facility construction projects is highly preferred.
Key ResponsibilitiesField Construction Leadership & Daily Execution- Coordinate daily field construction activities, contractor communication, site logistics, work-area readiness, and construction sequencing.
- Lead field coordination for UPW, utility, piping, equipment, mechanical, structural, cleanroom, and related construction activities as assigned.
- Direct daily work priorities, contractor activities, manpower needs, access requirements, material readiness, and installation sequencing.
- Conduct regular site walks to monitor construction progress, installation quality, safety conditions, housekeeping, and work-area readiness.
- Help ensure field work is completed safely, accurately, and in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, project procedures, and client requirements.
- Support field execution from early construction through installation, inspection, testing, commissioning, punch-list completion, turnover, and project closeout.
- Identify work-area constraints, installation conflicts, incomplete work, access issues, material shortages, and field risks that may affect project performance.
- Coordinate practical solutions with project managers, engineers, contractors, subcontractors, and field teams to maintain project momentum.
- Coordinate with general contractors, subcontractors, vendors, field crews, and multiple trade teams to maintain project schedules, quality expectations, and work priorities.
- Communicate construction specifications, scope requirements, delivery schedules, quality standards, RFP requirements, and project expectations to contractors and field personnel.
- Monitor contractor performance, workmanship, productivity, staffing levels, schedule adherence, material readiness, and compliance with project requirements.
- Hold contractors accountable for assigned work, corrective actions, schedule commitments, site organization, quality performance, and safety compliance.
- Coordinate UPW and construction activities with electrical, mechanical, process, structural, civil, controls, cleanroom, fire-protection, and other project disciplines.
- Support resolution of trade-interface issues, routing conflicts, site logistics concerns, sequencing challenges, installation constraints, and space-planning needs.
- Participate in contractor coordination meetings, daily huddles, weekly planning meetings, and project progress reviews.
- Provide clear direction regarding work priorities, field expectations, quality requirements, schedule needs, and safety requirements.
- Support short-term look-ahead planning, construction sequencing, work-package coordination, and installation-priority planning.
- Coordinate site logistics, material deliveries, equipment movement, laydown needs, staging areas, work-zone access, and field-material distribution.
- Work with engineering, procurement, warehouse, logistics, and field teams to verify material availability and readiness for upcoming construction activities.
- Track project progress against construction schedules, work plans, contractor commitments, milestones, and installation priorities.
- Identify potential schedule impacts, field delays, labor constraints, material risks, delivery issues, and coordination gaps requiring escalation.
- Assist with development and implementation of recovery plans, resequencing strategies, and corrective actions to address schedule risks.
- Maintain accurate progress updates, field-status reports, contractor action lists, material concerns, and open-issue logs.
- Support project teams with forecasting, work-area planning, resource coordination, and upcoming construction-readiness reviews.
- Read, interpret, and coordinate field activities around construction drawings, specifications, project requirements, Revit models, CAD drawings, and related technical documentation.
- Review drawings, RFIs, submittals, field documentation, and design changes to support accurate installation and construction coordination.
- Coordinate with engineering teams to clarify design requirements, resolve construction issues, address field conflicts, and support constructability.
- Verify that field installation work aligns with approved drawings, project specifications, quality expectations, and applicable code requirements.
- Support quality inspections, deficiency correction, punch-list tracking, rework coordination, and installation verification.
- Assist with coordination of field modifications, redlines, inspection records, and as-built documentation as needed.
- Support inspection, testing, commissioning, startup, and turnover readiness for assigned UPW and construction-related systems.
- Maintain awareness of all site safety requirements, PPE standards, client procedures, and applicable construction safety practices.
- Support safe work execution by identifying unsafe conditions, reporting hazards, participating in safety discussions, and coordinating with EHS personnel as needed.
- Participate in daily and weekly construction meetings, safety meetings, schedule meetings, engineering reviews, and coordination discussions.
- Communicate field progress, quality concerns, safety issues, schedule risks, material needs, logistics constraints, and required decisions clearly to project stakeholders.
- Work closely with Project Managers, Engineers, QA/QC personnel, EHS personnel, contractors, vendors, and client representatives to support overall project execution.
- Maintain a proactive, accountable, and solution-oriented leadership approach in a fast-paced field construction environment.
- Perform other related field-supervision and project-coordination duties as assigned.
- Previous construction-management, field-supervision, foreman, superintendent, or related construction-leadership experience.
- Experience coordinating construction site activities, field teams, contractors, subcontractors, or multi-trade work.
- Ability to manage construction schedules, site logistics, quality expectations, field communication, and daily work priorities.
- Strong understanding of construction site requirements, construction sequencing, work-area coordination, and basic safety practices.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, project requirements, Revit models, CAD drawings, and related field documentation.
- Experience coordinating contractors and field teams in active construction, industrial, commercial, manufacturing, or facility environments.
- Strong leadership, communication, organization, problem-solving, and follow-through skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams.
- Experience using Revit 3D models, AutoCAD drawings, or related design-coordination tools.
- Ability to work onsite in an active construction environment and adapt to changing field conditions and project priorities.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- Experience supporting semiconductor, cleanroom, high-tech manufacturing, industrial, or mission-critical facility construction projects.
- Experience supporting water-treatment, DI water, UPW, wastewater-treatment, process-utility, or mechanical-system installation scopes.
- Experience with piping installation, equipment move-in, steel installation, utility infrastructure, mechanical construction, or facility construction.
- Experience coordinating construction sequencing across multiple trades and active work areas.
- Experience working with general contractors, subcontractors, vendors, engineering teams, project managers, QA/QC personnel, EHS teams, and client representatives.
- Experience supporting inspection, testing, commissioning, startup, turnover, or project closeout activities.
- Familiarity with Procore, Bluebeam, BIM 360, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, or related construction-management platforms.
- OSHA 30 certification or other relevant construction safety credential.
- Bilingual English/Mandarin Chinese communication skills are a plus, but not required.

This is a full-time onsite role supporting active UPW, semiconductor, industrial, cleanroom, and high-tech facility construction projects. Work may occur in field offices, active construction zones, cleanroom environments, utility spaces, equipment rooms, staging areas, warehouses, laydown yards, and other project locations.
The Superintendent must be comfortable conducting field walks, leading contractor coordination, reviewing installation work, participating in construction meetings, and wearing required personal protective equipment. The role requires strong schedule awareness, field leadership, and the ability to manage changing construction priorities in a fast-paced project environment.
