Position Summary:

As a Billing Auditor , you focus on improving and educating – but you also still spend a portion of your time in production work to stay close to reality.

You review Billing work to ensure compliance, accuracy and completeness, identify patterns and help turn them into better standards, training and processes. ·401(k) with company match

· Training and Career Development

· Generous Paid Time-Off

Essential Functions:

In this role you will:

  • Perform structured audits of Billing work (documentation, coding choices, modifiers, payer rules, holds and releases) using agreed samples and criteria.
  • Identify trends and recurring issues and share them with Billing Managers, Billing Leads and analysts.
  • Work with the Billing Lead – Training & Quality and academy resources to turn audit findings into training content, coaching topics and simple checklists.
  • Provide clear, constructive feedback to individual billers and help them understand and correct mistakes.
  • Spend a portion of your time in normal production work (as a senior one biller) to maintain practical skills and stay connected to daily realities.
  • Support special reviews (e.g. new payors, new processes, focused compliance checks) and help prepare for external audits where needed.

Qualifications:

  • Typically have 5+ years of Ambulance Billing/RCM experience, including solid end‑to‑end one‑biller work.
  • Have strong knowledge of compliance and payer rules (e.g. CMS/Medicare/Medicaid, No Surprises Act, coding/modifier logic for 911/IFT).
  • Are detail‑oriented and fair – you can apply standards consistently and separate facts from opinions.
