Quality Inspector – Machining Industry (Tempe, AZ)

Pay: $24.00–$30.00/hour

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM

Job Type: Full-Time | Contract-to-Hire

A well-established precision manufacturing company in Tempe is currently seeking a skilled Quality Inspector to support ongoing production and quality initiatives. This position plays a key role in ensuring all components meet internal and customer requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Perform in-process, receiving, and final inspections with minimal supervision
• Interpret and inspect to engineering drawings, technical specifications, and GD&T
• Utilize a wide range of inspection equipment including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and optical comparators
• Maintain accurate documentation of inspection results and support traceability requirements
• Identify and document nonconforming materials through NCR processes
• Support corrective actions and root cause analysis as needed
• Ensure adherence to ISO 9001 and AS9100 quality management systems
• Assist with equipment calibration, tool maintenance, and audit readiness
• Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and efficiency

Qualifications:

• 2–5 years of hands-on inspection experience in a manufacturing or aerospace environment
• Proficient in blueprint reading and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
• Familiar with ISO 9001 / AS9100 standards and internal audit procedures
• Able to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced production environment
• Experience with Statistical Process Control (SPC) and data-driven quality metrics
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and able to pass background and drug screening
