Building Automation (BAS) Controls Installation Specialist

Step into a role where your craftsmanship in building automation turns blueprints into living, breathing systems. As a BAS Controls Installation Specialist, you’ll spend your days bringing Building Management Systems (BMS) online—pulling low-voltage, terminating cleanly, validating sequences, and proving every point from the controller to the cloud.

This is not a seasonal position; it is permanent and full-time. Wage will be based on experience and discussed during the interview. Prior experience will be discussed during interview.

Your day-to-day

• Report to the shift supervisor and take ownership of troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and work across a variety of equipment.
• Coordinate and supervise installation subcontractors—owning schedules, scopes, and quality to keep jobs on track.
• Develop and execute detailed commissioning plans for BMS: functional testing, sequence-of-operations verification, point-to-point checks, and system calibration.
• Lead on-site startup and commissioning: wiring, terminations, point-to-point verification, and integrating with HVAC, lighting, and security systems.
• Interpret blueprints and technical documents, and translate them for on-site Controls Technicians.
• Provide daily technical coaching to on-site Controls Technicians—assign work, guide methods, and drive efficient execution.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects, and customers to clarify requirements and ensure smooth project delivery.

What you’ll bring

• 3+ years as an installation electrician in a manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on experience with HVAC BMS/DDC controls.
• Proficiency installing low-voltage cabling, performing terminations, and routing electrical raceways.
• Working knowledge of electrical code.
