Field Clerk

Primary Responsibilities:


Admin/Office Duties:

  • Perform a variety of payroll, accounts payable and/or reception duties with minimal supervision.
  • Manage office supply inventory; may include ordering if directed by office manager.
  • Responsible for conducting daily new hire orientation for all craft new hires.
Deliveries:
  • Manage connex inventory responsibilities which include shipping, receiving, documentation and inventory control and processing all invoices.
Purchasing:
  • Purchase the highest quality materials at the lowest possible cost in correct amounts.
  • Research and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, selection, service, support, availability, reliability, production and distribution capabilities and the supplier’s reputation and history.
  • Understand and respond appropriately to all safety hazards and warning devices (back-up alarms, smell of smoke, different colored warning tags, warning sirens).

Qualifications:

  • High school graduate with at least one year related business experience
  • Basic knowledge of Excel, Word, e-mail and TICH Intranet
  • Willing to perform a variety of tasks and learn new skills
  • Working knowledge of all office machines (computer, typewriter, copy machine, facsimile machine, ten-key, and telephone systems)
  • Working knowledge filing and record retention systems

Working Conditions:

  • Fast-paced office environment; must be able to interact professionally with all levels of management while simultaneously manage a diversified workload and challenging situations efficiently and effectively; regularly sit, stand, walk and talk and listen; occasionally lift and move up objects up to 30 pounds.
