Legal Assistant
Law firm is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will bring experience working with attorneys and paralegals, be proficient in handling litigation documents and pleadings, and excel in a fast-paced legal environment.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of legal experience in a law firm with litigation procedure knowledge
- Proficiency in court filings; experience filing in several states would be preferred but not required
- Experience in maintaining multiple calendars, court deadlines in Law Toolbox or similar software, coordinating meetings, and handling email correspondence with proactive follow-through
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Net Documents and Centerbase or similar software to ensure accurate filing, data entry, and retrieval
- Excellent writing skills to draft legal documents, memos, and correspondence.
- Strong interpersonal skills combined with professional phone etiquette to communicate effectively with clients and legal vendors
