Platform Architect

Akkodis is seeking a Platform Architect for a Contract with a client in Phoenix, AZ. You will architect and design big scalable data solutions while developing and optimizing data pipelines for large-scale datasets.

Rate Range: $45/hour to $49/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Platform Architect job responsibilities include:

• Architect and design scalable big data solutions leveraging technologies like Hadoop, Hive, Spark, and Scala.

• Develop and optimize data pipelines and workflows for processing and analyzing large-scale datasets.

• Manage and fine-tune distributed computing frameworks to ensure high performance and reliability.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and define data requirements for business and technical needs.

• Implement data security, governance, and compliance measures within big data environments.

• Diagnose and resolve technical issues in big data systems to maintain operational efficiency and uptime.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Data Engineering, or a related field.

• Minimum 6–8 years of experience in big data architecture and engineering.

• Strong hands-on expertise in Hadoop, Spark, Hive, and Scala for designing and managing large-scale data solutions.

• Proven experience in building and optimizing data pipelines and implementing data security and governance in big data environments.

Pay Details: $45.00 to $49.00 per hour
