Senior Counsel - REMOTE

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Counsel - REMOTE. This role will serve as the primary legal resource responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of strategic partnership contracting. You will play a vital part in supporting corporate development initiatives by negotiating a wide range of agreements and facilitating cross-functional collaboration. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with commercial agreements and the capability to effectively advise internal stakeholders on legal risks. This is a unique opportunity to impact contracting strategies and compliance in a dynamic environment while working remotely.

Accountabilities

• Work closely with business leaders to develop and drive contracting strategies related to strategic partnerships.
• Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of vendor and partnership agreements.
• Advise internal stakeholders on contract interpretation and compliance requirements.
• Maintain databases for vendor and partnership contracts.
• Prepare legal summaries and risk assessments on contract terms.
• Support contract management processes and implement workflow improvements.
• Coordinate with various teams on contract requirements and issues.
• Facilitate meetings to resolve contract-related challenges.
• Train non-legal teams on contract processes and legal requirements.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree and active bar membership.
• 8-10 years of legal experience, preferably in-house or at a major law firm.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with stakeholders.
• Proven ability to negotiate complex agreements considering various legal and commercial factors.
• Prior experience with M&A or complex deal structuring is preferred.
• Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships within the legal department.
• Self-motivated with the capability to work independently in a remote setup.
• Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail for contract review and drafting.
