Exciting opportunity available for an experienced educator to make a lasting impact supporting students in a collaborative teaching environment. This contract position centers on co-teaching Math within a special education context for a designated class. You’ll work onsite full-time during the school year, leveraging your knowledge to foster both academic growth and confidence in diverse learners.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active Arizona Standard Secondary Teaching Certificate
- Arizona Special Education (SPED) licensure
- Valid IVP fingerprint card
- Proven success implementing Math instruction in inclusive or special education settings
- Experience as a co-teacher or in a dual-certified teaching model is highly valued
- Demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate with general education staff and specialized teams
- Committed to providing equitable access to rigorous curriculum for all students
Key Responsibilities:
- Co-teach Math courses alongside another educator, sharing instructional planning and classroom leadership
- Differentiate lessons to address the needs of students with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Assess and monitor student progress, using data to adjust teaching strategies
- Cultivate an inclusive classroom climate that respects all abilities and backgrounds
- Communicate regularly with parents, service providers, and colleagues to promote student success
- Ensure compliance with state and federal special education regulations and documentation
