Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer - Education Dispatch in Phoenix, AZ , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Dispatch Officer with Allied Universal at an education location, you will monitor and coordinate security-related activities to help to deter incidents and support a welcoming environment. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible, and deliver outstanding customer service while providing timely communication. What You'll Do:
- Monitor and manage incoming calls, alarms, and radio communications, dispatching appropriate personnel as needed for incidents and/or requests within the education location.
- Maintain detailed logs and records of all dispatch activities and security-related incidents in accordance with site-specific policies.
- Coordinate with on-site security-related personnel to provide timely updates and support during incidents and/or emergencies.
- Assist with access control by monitoring entry points remotely and communicating with staff and visitors as required.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established procedures and protocols.
- Provide customer service by addressing inquiries and concerns from staff, students, and visitors in a professional manner.
- Collaborate with Allied Universal team members to help to deter unauthorized activities and support a secure environment at the location.
Minimum Requirements:
- At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
