Degree in Physical Therapy, active Physical Therapist license and 1+ year of Physical Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Join an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact as a dedicated physical therapist serving K-12 students in a supportive school setting. This full-time contract position is located near Mesa, AZ, with one opening available in Tucson. Work alongside educators and other professionals to enable students to reach their full potential through specialized physical therapy services.
Qualifications:
- Licensed Physical Therapist with active credentials for Arizona
- Valid Arizona IVP fingerprint clearance card required
- Experience with pediatric populations, preferably in K-12 educational settings
- Strong communication, organization, and collaborative skills
- Ability to tailor therapeutic interventions to a variety of ages and abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess students’ physical needs and develop individualized therapy plans
- Provide direct PT services to K-12 students, addressing mobility, strength, balance, and motor skill development
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to integrate therapy goals within the school environment
- Document evaluations, progress, and outcomes thoroughly in compliance with school and state guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings, contributing expertise to ensure student needs are met
- Educate and support school staff and families regarding strategies for physical development
- Maintain up-to-date records and communicate effectively with stakeholders
