An exciting opportunity awaits for a Special Education Teacher passionate about supporting middle school students as a Resource Teacher. This contract position runs from ASAP through May 2027 and offers the chance to make a significant difference in the lives of students near Chandler, AZ. You’ll work in a collaborative environment focused on inclusive education, providing vital support for learners with diverse needs.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Active Arizona Special Education Certification is mandatory
- Current IVP Fingerprint Card required
- Experience working as a Special Education Teacher, preferably in a school resource setting
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- A commitment to fostering a supportive, inclusive learning environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized instruction and support based on students’ IEPs
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, paraprofessionals, and families to ensure student success
- Track academic progress and maintain accurate records
- Adapt teaching strategies to accommodate various learning styles and abilities
- Participate in IEP meetings, staffing, and professional development opportunities
- Advocate for students’ needs, ensuring access to required resources and accommodations
