Speech-Language Pathologist Job Details

• Position Type: Locum tenens / Travel SLP contract
• Start Date: August 5, 2025
• End Date: November 4, 2025
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, 8-hour days
• Hours per Week: 40 (Guaranteed: 32 hours/week)
• Weekend Requirement: 1 weekend per month
• Call Requirement: None
• Electronic Health Record: UDS and Cerner
• Dress Code: Burgundy/Wine scrubs
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $2120–$2180

SLP Qualifications

• Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
• Active BLS certification
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist; adult acute rehab experience preferred
• Experience with neuro, Parkinson’s, and debility diagnoses is a plus
• Strong communication and clinical documentation skills
• Ability to work efficiently and collaboratively in a patient-centered healthcare environment

Speech-Language Pathologist Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat adult patients recovering from stroke, brain injury, neurological conditions, trauma, spinal cord injury, amputation, and orthopedic injury in an inpatient rehab setting
• Develop and implement individualized speech therapy treatment plans to maximize patient function and quality of life
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary healthcare team to deliver comprehensive rehabilitation care
• Document patient progress using UDS and Cerner EHR systems
• Educate and support patients and their families throughout the rehabilitation process
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive, efficient, and supportive healthcare work environment
