Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented, high-performing Senior Property Accountant to take ownership of the month-end close process and financial reporting for a portfolio of 25+ multifamily communities and 5,000+ units.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a structured environment, takes pride in clean financials, and wants to grow within a scaling organization.

This position reports directly to the Owner/CFO and will play a key role in strengthening and streamlining our accounting processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle month-end close for assigned property portfolio
• Prepare and review:
• • Income Statements
  • Balance Sheets
  • Cash Flow Statements
  • Budget vs. Actual variance analyses
• Perform and review bank reconciliations
• Post journal entries and accruals
• Ensure timely and accurate delivery of owner financial packages
• Identify and resolve discrepancies proactively
• Support year-end audit and tax preparation processes
• Continuously improve close efficiency and reporting accuracy

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 3–6+ years of accounting experience (multifamily/property management strongly preferred)
• Experience with property management accounting software (ResMan experience is a plus)
• Strong understanding of accrual accounting
• Advanced Excel skills
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple properties and deadlines simultaneously
• Strong communication skills and professional demeanor
