Quality Inspectors perform inspections on aircraft, engines, parts, and components to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards. They support return-to-service processes, verify maintenance actions, and maintain accurate documentation. Quality Inspectors ensure adherence to FAA regulations, company policies, and safety standards while serving as a key resource for technicians and customers. They coordinate work activities, train personnel, and uphold continuous improvement initiatives in a 24/7 aviation environment.

#Education & Job Requirements
*High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
*Valid and current A&P License.
*A minimum of 1 year of aircraft maintenance experience in a Part 145 Repair Station or 5 years as a licensed A&P in a similar aviation operation.
*The ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
*The ability to use computer systems, maintenance manuals, and documentation systems.
*The ability to interpret and apply Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs).
*Ability to work at multiple locations as business needs dictate.

#Job Duties & Functions
*Research technical data and perform inspections of hangered aircraft in heavy maintenance checks, flightline/storage induction or reactivation, and back shop repair/overhaul maintenance activities.
*Enforce Quality Control standards for material receiving, shipping, storage, handling, repairs, and overhaul.
*Perform inspection of aircraft components during assembly, installation, and adjustment to ensure compliance with manufacturer specifications and maintenance manuals.
*Ensure all Work-In-Progress is properly documented and corrective actions have proper technical references.
*Record all inspection data on forms, reports, and tags, and report irregularities to the Lead Inspector.
*Perform maintenance work/repair of company equipment and general shop housekeeping.
*Test the tightness of airframe connections with hand tools and utilize a flashlight and mirror to inspect part fit.
*Examine assembly, installation, and adjustment of ailerons and rudders for compliance with Civil Air Regulations, company specifications, and manual procedures.
*Determine the accuracy of component installation in power plants and hydraulic systems using gauges and precision tools.
*Sign inspection tags to approve units or document reasons for rejection.
*Log all inspections performed on aircraft.
*Ensure all work is performed safely and direct activities to protect employees.
*Perform facility audits for safety and policy compliance.
*Coordinate with customer representatives.
*Perform duties of Lead Inspector in their absence.
*Document training records for personnel and ensure proper signatures.
*Perform maintenance duties away from base on temporary duty.
*Monitor and ensure compliance with Safety Management System (SMS) requirements, safe workplace practices, and reporting.

#Physical Requirements & Environment
*Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods of time.
*Frequent bending, stooping, squatting, crouching, kneeling, balancing, and reaching above shoulder level.
*Occasional crawling, climbing, lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
*Requires eye-hand coordination, manual dexterity, and corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
*Equipment operated includes ladders, stands, hi-lifts, flashlights, borescopes, magnifying glasses, and standard office equipment.
*Protective equipment includes goggles, safety glasses, face shields, ear protection, aprons, gloves, safety harnesses, and breathing equipment.
*Work locations include aircraft maintenance hangars, flightline, and avionics shop.
*Potential hazards include high-intensity noise, temperature extremes, electrical charges and radar waves, materials identified on Safety Data Sheets, and moving machinery.
