Location: Santa Ana, CA

Position Summary

Our client is seeking an experienced Construction Service Manager with a proven background in grocery store construction, remodels, and facilities maintenance . This position oversees service operations for commercial grocery, retail, and food service clients throughout Southern California.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience working on occupied grocery store construction projects and understands the unique operational challenges associated with food retail environments. This individual will review incoming service requests, develop scopes of work, dispatch the appropriate technicians, and ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and with minimal disruption to store operations.

This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who understands both commercial construction and the specialized requirements of grocery store facilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of experienced multi-trade service technicians.

• Review incoming service requests and determine the appropriate repair or construction solution.

• Develop detailed scopes of work and assign technicians based on skill set and project requirements.

• Coordinate daily schedules, emergency service calls, preventative maintenance, and small construction projects.

• Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to company quality standards.

• Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, vendors, and internal project teams.

• Conduct field visits as needed to evaluate projects and resolve operational issues.

• Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction while supporting long-term client relationships.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum five years of experience managing or performing construction, remodels, tenant improvements, or facilities maintenance projects within active grocery store environments.

• Experience supervising commercial construction service technicians or field crews.

• Strong knowledge of commercial building systems and multiple construction trades.

• Ability to review work requests, develop scopes of work, estimate labor requirements, and assign the appropriate technician.

• Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and customer service skills.

• Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.

Preferred Experience

Experience performing work for grocery chains such as Albertsons, Safeway, Kroger, Walmart Neighborhood Market, Sprouts, Whole Foods, Trader Joe's, Food 4 Less, Ralphs, Stater Bros., or similar grocery retailers is highly preferred.
