About the Role:

As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at Phoenix Indian Medical Center, you will play a vital role in delivering compassionate and culturally sensitive care to patients within a diverse healthcare environment. Your primary focus will be to support nursing staff by providing direct patient care at Phoenix Indian Medical Center's clinics ensuring patient comfort and safety. Minimum Qualifications:

• Current and valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening as required by the facility.
• Demonstrated ability to provide compassionate patient care in a healthcare setting.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in a hospital or clinical environment, preferably with Native American populations.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Additional certifications such as CPR or First Aid.
• Strong understanding of cultural sensitivity and patient-centered care principles.
• Bilingual skills, especially in languages commonly spoken by the patient population served.

Responsibilities:

• Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding.
• Monitor and record vital signs such as temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure.
• Provide support during patient mobility, transfers, and positioning to prevent injury and promote comfort.
• Observe and report any changes in patients’ physical or emotional condition to nursing staff promptly.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of patient rooms and medical equipment in accordance with infection control protocols.
• Support nursing staff with routine clinical tasks and documentation to ensure continuity of care.
• Communicate effectively and respectfully with patients, families, and healthcare team members to foster a supportive environment.
