Human Resources Assistant Manager
*** Must live in the Greater Phoenix Metro Area ***
PURPOSE: The Human Resources (HR) Assistant Manager oversees the daily operations of the HR team, including the supervision of HR personnel. The HR Assistant Manager ensures employee files are maintained and in compliance with state and federal workforce regulations. The HR Assistant Manager implements procedures for completion of employment forms and addresses employee inquires. In addition, the HR Assistant Manager facilitates the recruitment and placement of administrative personnel. The HR Assistant Manager reports to the HR Manager.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in related field, Master's degree preferred
- Four or more years of Human Resource supervisory experience
- Knowledge of general HR functions and administrative procedures and systems
- Understanding of labor laws and disciplinary procedures
- Knowledge in principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation and coordination of people and resources
- SHRM-CP or other HR credentials preferred
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Satisfactory background check
- Ability to acquire and maintain a DPS fingerprint card

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Supervise the HR team personnel
- Oversee the new hire file process and ensure initial compliance with organization's funding sources' regulations and requirements
- Ensure the integrity and confidentiality of employee files and records
- Oversee the completion of internal and external employment-related forms and requests
- Facilitate recruitment effort for all exempt and nonexempt administrative personnel, posts all openings intra-company, and work with supervisors to screen and interview candidates. Collaborate with managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings
- Analyze trends in compensation and benefits to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent
- Ensure the timely processing of all unemployment and workers compensation claims
- Maintain records, reports and logs to conform to EEO regulations, as well as Worker's Compensation and Unemployment Insurance Claims
- Facilitate special projects and work collaboratively with other teams for completion
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices, reviews policies and practices
- Administer benefits to company personnel
- Maintain records and compile statistical reports concerning personnel-related data such as hires, transfers, performance appraisals, etc.
- Participate in developing team and department goals, objectives, and systems
- Develop, recommend, and implement personnel policies and procedures as requested
- Conduct or follow up on exit interviews as needed
- Establish and maintain department records and reports. Participate in administrative staff meetings and attend other meetings, such as seminars.
- Evaluate reports, decisions, and results of department initiatives in relation to established goals. Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed

- Reporting to work on time as scheduled.
- Refraining from excessive absenteeism.
- Obtaining prior approval for desired time off.
- Maintain all records, logs, spreadsheets and other documentation as required by ISP, company rule and State policy and procedure.
- Ensure that a clean and safe environment free from abuse, intimidation and harassment is maintained.
- Maintain all training and certifications as required by State or Company policies and procedures.
- Maintain professional demeanor and protect confidentiality of client, staff and agency information.

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
- The ability to lift items up to 30 lbs.
- The ability to walk, kneel, stand, and bend.
- Must be able to sit and work at a computer for extended periods of time.
- Ability to quickly respond to health, safety, and emergency situations.
- Ability to use and work with multiple data bases to research discrepancies, update data bases, and maintain spreadsheets and tables.
- Ability to exercise patience and use good judgment while working quickly.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This job operates as a remote tele-work position, as Arion Care Solutions does not provide a separate workplace at a corporate location. Working from home requires a high degree of discipline and the ability to have a space dedicated to work in the home and provision for childcare if appropriate. This position also requires in-person meetings with members and families and traveling to their homes.
