Job Title: Special Education Teacher- Self Contained
Location: Phoenix, AZ
Job Type: Full-Time | School-Based (In-Person)
Schedule: Monday–Friday
Duration: : 8/5/26-5/27/27
Status: 1 Opening | Accepting Candidates
Position Overview
We are seeking a qualified Special Education Teacher (Moderate/Severe) to support an elementary student in a school-based setting in Phoenix, AZ. This is a full-time, in-person role.
Assignment Details
- Caseload: Medically Fragile self-contained classroom, expected to have 7 students and 3 assistants
- Opportunity to build consistency and long-term impact with the student
- Support provided in a structured school environment
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver specialized instruction aligned with IEP goals
- Provide individualized support tailored to student needs
- Implement accommodations, modifications, and behavior strategies
- Collaborate with school staff, therapists, and support teams
- Track progress and maintain required documentation
Qualifications
- Active Arizona Mod/Severe License preferred (Mild/Mod potentially)
- Experience working with mod/severe populations preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to provide consistent, student-centered support

Pay
- $40–$45/hour depending on experience, credentialing and caseload
