Project Engineer Heavy Civil Construction (Kingman / Flagstaff AZ Region)

Salary Range: $80000 $110000 (based on experience and qualifications)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer with a strong background in heavy civil construction specializing in underground utilities and earthwork . This position will support projects throughout the KingmanFlagstaff region ensuring smooth coordination between the field office and project management teams.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented organized and proactive capable of managing multiple priorities while maintaining high standards of safety quality and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Project Manager and field leadership to ensure projects are completed safely on time and within budget .

• Coordinate daily operations with superintendents and foremen including materials subcontractors equipment and quality control.

• Ensure strict compliance with company safety policies and OSHA standards .

• Manage scope changes assist with scheduling and process change orders .

• Support project planning including definition scope resources and baseline scheduling.

• Prepare and coordinate key plans such as traffic control erosion control safety and equipment mobilization .

• Communicate effectively with clients vendors and subcontractors to ensure timely high-quality execution.

• Utilize Viewpoint for project documentation cost tracking and reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering or equivalent field experience.

• Minimum 3 years of experience in heavy civil construction (earthwork underground utilities highways or structures).

• Proficiency in Viewpoint preferred; experience with Alternative Delivery methods (Design-Build CM/GC) is a plus.

• Strong organizational problem-solving and communication skills.

• Self-starter with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
