Vaco has partnered with a respected construction organization to hire an Accounting Manager in North Phoenix, Arizona! This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounting professional looking to take on a leadership role within a stable and growing company. You'll work closely with executive leadership, oversee critical accounting operations, and help guide financial strategy in a highly visible position with room for advancement. Accounting Manager $120,000–$135,000 base salary (depending on experience) North Phoenix, AZ (5 days on-site) Perks and Opportunities: Established and expanding organization with strong long-term career growth potential Hands-on management position offering ownership of accounting processes and team development Responsibilities include: Lead day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger management Review and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting Manage monthly and annual close processes, including account reconciliations and journal entry review Monitor adherence to accounting regulations, tax requirements, and company policies Provide mentorship, coaching, and oversight to accounting team members Partner with operational and leadership teams on budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning initiatives Evaluate existing workflows and implement improvements to strengthen controls and increase efficiency Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (Required) 7 years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory or management responsibilities (Required) Experience with construction accounting, including areas such as revenue recognition, job costing, WIP reporting, or sales tax (Required) Strong leadership skills with the ability to develop and manage a high-performing team Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual’s skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
