Community Life Director (Pastoral Care, Pastoral Minister)

The Franciscan Renewal Center
Scottsdale, AZ

The Conventual Church of Our Lady of the Angels, located on 25 serene desert acres in Paradise Valley, is part of the Franciscan Renewal Center, founded in 1951 by the Order of Friars Minor (OFM). In collaboration with the Roman Catholic Diocese of Phoenix, we are not a neighborhood parish but a destination faith community welcoming people from across the Valley. Rooted in Catholic and Franciscan tradition, we are dedicated to renewing lives through spiritual growth, healing, transformation, and service. Joyful liturgies with the friars, contemplative grounds and prayer spaces, and meaningful opportunities for retreat, reflection, and service, are woven into a shared life of faith as we seek to live the Gospel in a spirit of compassion, accompaniment and hospitality. The Community Life Director provides pastoral care to the church community, supporting the ministry of the friars and helping to foster a welcoming and vibrant conventual church community. This role cultivates meaningful relationships, strengthens a sense of belonging, and creates pathways for faith formation, engagement, and service.
