8:00am - 4:30pm

POSITION SUMMARY: The service calibration & repair tech will perform a variety of duties including but not limited to: electrical product evaluation, load cell calibration, failure analysis & trouble shooting, repair of load cells, etc. A successful candidate for this position has an inclination for problem solving, working with electronic devices, working with their hands, working with small components and tools, is comfortable using computers and web based applications, and has an earnest desire to learn new things. Training for this position will be ongoing and progress as the employee proves their proficiency at the various stages.

*TRAINING WILL BE PROVIDED FOR THIS POSITION*

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Perform evaluations on customer equipment
• Investigating failures of customer equipment to reach a root cause
• Perform soldering repairs to equipment and cables
• Create testing cables for specific equipment as needed
• Perform calibrations of customer equipment
• Use of power tools & hand tools using fine motor skills
• Record the findings and status of customer equipment after evaluation in our database
• Provide feedback of equipment status via messages or email to the front of the department

COMPETENCIES:

• Very high attention to detail and an aptitude towards problem solving.
• Willing and able to follow written and verbal instructions and comply with existing standards and procedures.
• Ability to work and learn independently as well as in a team environment.
• Ability to operate hand tools and small equipment.
• Taking electrical readings using hand meters and similar equipment.

REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• High school or GED equivalent.
• Reading and verbal English communication skills.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This position will be in a production shop with heavy machinery.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee must be able to lift and/or move items between 35-70 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
