About the Role:
We’re seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Collections Specialist to join our accounting and finance team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for managing past-due accounts, maintaining strong customer relationships, and ensuring timely collections to support healthy cash flow. The ideal candidate is professional, persistent, and skilled at resolving issues with both diplomacy and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and monitor assigned customer accounts to identify and collect past-due balances
• Contact customers via phone, email, and written correspondence to secure payment
• Research and resolve billing disputes, short payments, and other discrepancies
• Maintain detailed records of collection efforts and payment arrangements
• Collaborate with AR, billing, and sales teams to ensure accurate account information
• Prepare aging reports and provide updates to management
• Support month-end close processes and assist with account reconciliations

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of collections or accounts receivable experience required
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-up abilities
• Proficiency with Excel and ERP/accounting systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks)
• Ability to handle sensitive customer interactions with professionalism
