Overview: We are seeking a Technical Writer with a strong manufacturing background to create clear, accurate, and user-friendly documentation for our production and engineering teams. This role involves translating complex manufacturing processes and technical information into manuals, work instructions, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) that can be easily understood by operators, technicians, and customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain user manuals, assembly instructions, SOPs, and other technical documents for manufacturing processes and equipment.
Work closely with engineers, production staff, and subject-matter experts to gather and clarify technical information.
Create illustrations, diagrams, and flowcharts to support written content.
Ensure all documentation meets internal standards for clarity, accuracy, and compliance with industry regulations.
Revise and update documentation to reflect process improvements or equipment changes.
Manage version control and maintain organized document archives.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Technical Writer in a manufacturing or production environment .
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, mechanical or electrical assembly, and related terminology.
Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise language.
Proficiency in documentation tools such as Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, or similar.
Familiarity with ISO standards or other regulated documentation practices is a plus.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Technical Communication, Engineering, or related field preferred, or equivalent work experience.
