Surgical Veterinarian - 4 day week -Phoenix

Dr. Kelly's Surgical Unit is seeking an experienced Veterinarian who is passionate about surgery and ready to enjoy a healthier work-life balance.

We are surgical generalists providing exceptional, affordable care to pets throughout Arizona while allowing our doctors to focus on what they do best—surgery. Our caseload includes spays, neuters, dentals, mass removals, and other soft tissue procedures, all supported by highly trained technicians and modern equipment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough examinations of animals to assess their health and diagnose conditions.
• Perform surgical procedures with precision, ensuring adherence to aseptic techniques.
• Administer anesthesia and monitor patients during and after surgery.
• Provide post-operative care and educate pet owners on recovery protocols.
• Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with DEA regulations.
• Collaborate with veterinary staff to ensure optimal animal care and handling.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree
• Valid DEA License
• Proven veterinary experience with a focus on surgical procedures
• Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, and physiology
• Proficiency in animal handling and restraint techniques
• Experience in veterinary critical care and aseptic techniques
• Familiarity with animal husbandry and pet care practices
