Position: Garage Door Technician

As a Garage Door Technician at C&D Garage Doors, you'll play a crucial role in the safe installation, service, and maintenance of commercial and residential garage doors and openers. You'll be a key representative of our company in the field, ensuring every customer interaction reflects our commitment to quality and integrity.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Competitive pay based on experience: $19-$26/hour

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, service, and maintain sectional, rolling sheet, and rolling steel overhead doors
• Install, service, and maintain automatic door openers
• Service and maintain loading dock equipment
• Replace springs and repair faulty components on residential garage doors
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
• Document job notes and update invoices in the field

Our ideal technician is honest, hardworking, and committed to delivering outstanding customer service. You should have strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn and grow within the trade.

Qualifications:

• Experience installing sectional, sheet, and rolling steel garage doors (assistance available for larger installs)
• Ability to independently install standard residential sectional doors
• Skilled in spring installation, measuring, and conversions
• Proficient in installing and troubleshooting trolley and jackshaft motors
• Capable of diagnosing and repairing both commercial and residential operators
• Comfortable lifting heavy or awkwardly shaped items, sometimes at heights
• Ability to work in steel buildings and indoor environments exceeding 115&degree;F when required
