Your Impact As a technical member on the Privacy team, you will build software to support Axon privacy mission. You will be intimately involved in the architecture decisions that will shape privacy tools and services. You live and breathe cloud services that require high availability and fast, consistent performance. You love working with the latest privacy enhancing technologies, and can leverage your system design skills to make the right technical decisions on a system that needs to be bullet-proof. You will be working closely with other privacy engineers, product managers and designers to ensure we are building the right solution for our customers. What You’ll Do Location: This role is based out of our Scottsdale Office and follows a hybrid schedule. We rely on in-person collaboration and ask that team members work onsite Tuesdays through Fridays, with the flexibility to work remotely on Mondays, unless there is an approved workplace accommodation. Reports to: Director, Global Head of Privacy Direct Reports: none- Build, and maintain back-end systems and services that power privacy and data compliance across Axon ecosystem, such as tools that enable other teams to automate tasks involving managing and protecting customer data.
- Participate in design reviews with peers and stakeholders to evaluate available technologies.
- Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
- Work with the latest open source technologies
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 2+ years of professional software development experience
- Experience building and helping to deliver highly-available, scalable cloud-based systems on Azure, AWS, or other public cloud infrastructure
- Experience with at least two of the areas below:
- Integrating 3rd party solutions to internal systems and services
- Experience with system to system communication implementation, high-scale microservices, Kubernetes, service orchestration/inter-service authentication, CI/CD pipelines setup and tune up
- Design, implement, and tune robust APIs and API framework related featurs that perform and scale in a multi-tenant environment
- Backend service experience in multiple, managed languages such as Java, Scala, Go, C#, Pyton or similar language.
- Experience working with SQL or NoSQL data stores
- Experience building data pipelines, especially for privacy processes and workflows
- Experience with implmenting data anonymization/de-identification tools
