Respiratory Therapist Job Details

• Location: Lake Havasu City, AZ 86403 (Arizona respiratory therapist jobs)
• Healthcare Setting: Hospital – Lifepoint Health Unit
• Employment Type: Locum Tenens (Travel Respiratory Therapist Contract)
• Start Date: September 8, 2025
• End Date: December 8, 2025
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour nights (6:00 PM – 6:00 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36 hours guaranteed
• Weekend and Float: May be required to float within a 25-mile radius

Registered Respiratory Therapist Qualifications

• Active Arizona Respiratory Therapist (RT) license
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential (NBRC certified)
• Certifications: BLS, PALS, NRP, NBRC
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience as a hospital RRT (1-2 years preferred)
• Ability to work night shifts and float as needed
• Strong communication and clinical teamwork skills

Respiratory Therapist Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality respiratory care to adult, pediatric, and geriatric patients
• Conduct respiratory assessments, treatments, and interventions per hospital protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams for optimal patient outcomes
• Accurately document patient care activities in the electronic health record (EHR)
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
• Support emergency care, including trauma and chest pain center cases
