POSITION SUMMARY
Under the supervision of a Food & Beverage Supervisor, serves guests in any of the Food and Beverage outlets with food items and beverages including alcoholic beverages.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBLITIES

- Presents menus, answers questions, and makes suggestions regarding food and service to patrons.
- Serves beverages to patrons of the Apache Gold Casino Resort.
- Relays orders to the cook and serves courses from the kitchen and service bar areas.
- Tends to patrons, responds to any additional requests, and determines when a meal had been completed.
- Keeps floors and work area clean.
- Keeps the casino in a clean and safe environment by continually cleaning the ashtrays and emptying glasses.
- Takes orders and prepares beverages for guests.
- Operates the POS cash register.
- Computes bills and accepts payments served to patrons.
- Provides good customer service to patrons by continually checking on patrons.
- Serves customers in a responsive, caring, prompt and courteous manner.
- Responds to customer requests.
- Reconciles guest checks at the end of shift.
- Responsible for the cleanliness and sanitation of the entire work area.
- Performs any and all other duties as assigned including, but not limited to the following: seating guests, bussing and setting table, and keeping the floor clear of debris.
- Maintains a good communication with co-workers and maintains a positive and professional work environment.
- Performs other duties as required.
KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES, SKILLS, AND CERTIFICATIONS
- Knowledge of dining and food maintenance operations and customer service.
- Knowledge of all menu items including entrees, side dishes, beverages and deserts.
- Ability to communicate effectively in the English language, both verbally and in writing with other staff and general public.
- Ability to service customers in a professional appearance and manner.
- Ability to follow instructions and work in a stressful and busy environment.
- Must complete the Food Handler’s Training instruction online and obtain the Food Handler’s Certificate within 30 days of employment. The Certificate must be updated every 2 years.
- Must complete the Arizona Title 4 BASIC Liquor Law Training class and obtain the Certificate of Completion within 90 days of employment. The Certificate must be updated every 3 years
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work is generally performed in the Casino’s dining room and kitchen area with exposure to heat, fumes and steam. Evening and/or weekend work may be required. Extended hours and irregular shifts may be required.
Requirements:MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Some experience in the restaurant or food service area as wait staff or cashier. Must be 21 years of age. No felony, theft or stealing convictions. Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screen and background investigation.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly is required to stand and walk for extended periods; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee occasionally is required to sit; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
