Mechanical Assembly Technician – 1st Shift (Phoenix, AZ)

Schedule: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Pay: $20-$22/hr

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Assembly Technician to join our production team in Phoenix, AZ. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands‐on work, follows detailed instructions, and takes pride in producing high‐quality assemblies. As a Mechanical Assembly Technician , you will assemble parts, perform testing, and ensure all products meet quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform basic mechanical assemblies and subassemblies.
• Conduct leak testing as required.
• Operate hand tools and power tools to complete assembly tasks.
• Read and interpret work instructions, blueprints, and specifications.
• Communicate effectively with team members and leadership.
• Perform standard testing and minor troubleshooting.
• Maintain quality standards throughout all assembly steps.
• Complete additional duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Related experience in manufacturing or similar environments.
• Cable and harness assembly experience is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret written instructions and follow directions accurately.
• Basic mechanical skills and ability to perform repetitive assembly operations.
• Familiarity with hand tools, portable power tools, and bench tools.
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
• Good communication skills.
• Basic computer skills and ability to use software applications.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, schematics, and blueprints preferred.

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Technician coursework or an AA technical degree preferred.
• 1+ years of experience in a manufacturing or cleanroom environment.
• Experience with helium leak testing, module testing, and subassembly inspection is a plus.
• Prior experience as a Mechanical Assembly Technician is strongly preferred.

Work Environment

• Work performed in a manufacturing and/or cleanroom environment.

Physical Demands

• Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push, pull, and grasp.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs independently; more with assistance.
• Frequent use of hands, arms, and fingers.
• Visual acuity required for detailed tasks.
• Ability to stand or sit for extended periods.
• May require extended phone and computer use.
• Comfortable using ladders when needed.

Environmental Exposure

• PPE required where applicable.
• Exposure to noise, electrical components, moving mechanical parts, chemicals, and debris.
• Exposure to vibrations and moderate office‐equipment noise levels.
